Rule of 15
Don't open the auction in 4th seat if opponents can outbid you.
After three passes, should you open the bidding with a borderline hand? If you open the auction, you may be doing so for the benefit of opponents as they may be able to make an overcall. The side holding the spade suit often makes the best score, so use the Rule of 15 to work out whether to bid or pass.
